Before joining Assisted Living Locators, Ms. Downer had her own consulting business where she assisted a variety of architectural, engineering and construction management firms with marketing and business development services. Passionate about people, relationships, marketing and business development, Ms. Downer is excited to assist families in the process of selecting an assisted living facility for their loved one. Her own journey includes walking through this overwhelming process with her mom. She holds a BA in Communications from the University of South Florida and has been serving the professional services industry since 1991. During that time, she has been instrumental in strategically positioning companies to win more work in less time by conducting market research/planning efforts, streamlining key marketing functions and processes, managing many winning proposal efforts, creating and implementing many PR, promotional and direct mail campaigns and developing and managing numerous marketing information databases.

I live out of state and thought, why not?  From the minute Jim and I connected, I knew this was going to be amazing and he was going to help me with this difficult task of finding the right ALF for my father in Tampa. Jim was very professional and detailed with his findings and then set up 4 visits for us when we came to the Tampa area in April.  He also provided detailed information and questions for me to ask while on site with each facility Jim was able to connect with each of these to also try and negotiate some fees and pricing on our behalf My dad chose one of the 4 and happy to say that he just moved into his new home this past week and is very happy Jim continues to follow up and has offered to even visit my dad and take him to a baseball game in the future.
